In our two hour beginner workshop, kids ages 9+ up will learn how to use a sewing machine. We will teach basic sewing machine knowledge, how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine and how to sew a straight stitch. Students will choose their own fabric and make a drawstring bag to take home in this workshop. All materials included in cost of class.
Students who are 7 or 8 years old may attend our Parent/Child Beginner Workshop
This class is a prerequisite to our after-school courses for kids and teens. It is important for students to know how to operate a machine before starting after-school classes - please plan to take the beginner workshop before the start of their first session with us!
